Just downstairs, the Bar Ristorante Classico and the Ristorante Da Umberto 1972 are the perfect places to enjoy a snack or a relaxed dinner, with service specially dedicated to our guests.
“Da Umberto 1972” mainly offers seafood cuisine with fresh fish delivered daily.
The menu ranges from raw starters, like the delicious “Salento-style sushi tastings” with purple prawns, baby cuttlefish, and bullet tuna tartare, to first courses such as the unmissable “Cavalieri spaghettoni with scorpionfish”, and on to delicious fish and shellfish soups.
There are also alternatives to seafood cuisine: for example, traditional inland Salento dishes (fava bean purée with chicory, battered vegetables). The grand finale is the rich house dessert menu, featuring highlights such as pasticciotto and ricotta puff pastry. Da Umberto 1972 also has a large visitable wine cellar, housing around 350 labels.
The “Il Classico” bar and restaurant offers a wide range of local traditional products, as well as pizza for takeaway or dine-in, and sushi prepared with selected ingredients and a touch of creativity.
